Can I create a department in Chat when Agent Workspace is enabled?

Answer

If you create a department within Chat and Agent Workspace is enabled, you will be redirected back to Support to create a new group instead.

When you switch to Agent Workspace, chat departments are merged into Support groups. Zendesk will merge agents into groups, not departments. This is a permanent change.
